Meet Dr. Ryan Murphy

Dr. Ryan Murphy is dedicated to making every patient feel comfortable, heard, and genuinely cared for at Ballwin Dental Care. Inspired by his own childhood dentist, Dr. Murphy strives to create the same positive, reassuring experience for his patients—taking the time to listen, explain, and make each visit as easy and stress-free as possible.

Originally born in Mississippi and raised primarily in Washington state, Dr. Murphy earned his Bachelor’s degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Tulane University in New Orleans before going on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Washington School of Dentistry in Seattle. He is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), and a local St. Louis dental study club, staying committed to continuing education and providing the highest level of care.

Dr. Murphy recently made the move to St. Louis, drawn by family, a more welcoming pace of life, and—according to him—much better weather than Seattle. Clinically, he focuses on delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care with an emphasis on comfort, clear communication, and long-term oral health.

Outside of the office, Dr. Murphy enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors—whether it’s hiking, backpacking, fishing, working out, or biking around Forest Park. He also loves cooking and baking, and spends time with his very happy cat, Daisy.
